Retreat Centre

In the increasing chaos we call living, more than ever, people are pausing to examine their lives, their direction, their values and their goals. "Stop the world I want to get off" has never been a truer sentiment than it is now. Unfortunately, it is usually a devastating illness, the death of a loved one, or the loss of a job, home or marriage that brings about these "pauses."

It is in this stage of transition that the serious questions of life are asked and grappled with. Who am I? What is my purpose in life? How can I fill this emptiness with meaning? What is meaningful? By asking these questions, a process begins, one that is as individual as each of us, in which we write our own unique curriculum. This is Life School 101! Although these questions are sometimes left until we are faced with life’s challenges, it doesn’t have to be that way. We can ask at any stage of life, even when "good" things happen, such as the birth of a child, marriage, a new home or job. With the hectic pace and demands of our lives, asking these questions in a retreat setting allows one to turn a desperate "pause" into a fertile void where all things are possible. A place where with gentle patience and nurturing, answers are found and the void is filled with meaning.

Taking time, in a natural setting, helps us regain our perspective on our lives. It allows us to take a step back, and gives us the space to breathe and a chance to synchronize with the heartbeat of the earth. We rest, ponder, meditate, and heal. With special teachers, healers, and wise people, on-going groups for body and soul, and a support team of body-mind-emotion-spirit practitioners, All Our Relations Retreat Centre enables guests to pause and renew, participating in as much or as little as their own curriculum dictates.

Programs

Programming for the Retreat Centre will be varied, appealing to a variety of needs, yet will focus on the overall goals and teaching of All Our Relations. It will range from private healing and psychotherapeutic sessions, grief counselling, on-going groups – that will explore all aspects of human nature within the safety, support and energy of a group process, to workshops and seminars on various topics. Different healing modalities and spiritual pathways will be facilitated by staff or by special guest speakers, authors and spiritual leaders.
