All Our Relations will also be promoted through letters, brochures and presentations to service organizations, support groups, hospitals, doctors, nurses, social workers, hospital chaplains and clergy, regional cancer centre and palliative care programs, conferences and association meetings.
Marketing Our Concept: Final Thoughts
The combination of the Hospice with the Retreat Centre creates an unusual niche that is both unique and cutting edge. Each operation supports the other, as it supports the whole.
Everyone who comes through the Retreat Centres doors learns of the Hospice, becomes a potential donor, volunteer and user of the facility (for themselves, their families, and all those with whom they talk). In turn, anyone who comes to the Hospice as a volunteer, visitor or family member, learns of the Retreat Centre and becomes a potential participant in its activities, uses the guest rooms for their own personal retreats, or books its space for their own work, business, or service clubs. Each possibility generates revenues that support both the Hospice and the Retreat Centre.
Having said all that, and having calculated what makes good sense in the marketing of our charity, our intention for All Our Relations is crystal clear. It is about being willing to have a plan, and change the plan, if necessary, to attain our goal: the creation of community that values human life, the Creator, and the connection between all of life, the earth and all that is in it.
