To raise the profile of the hospice concept.
To educate the community about death; taking a taboo subject out of the closet thus freeing up our energy for living well.
To demonstrate the ways in which communities can support their members.
To disseminate information and highlight resources available to the community regarding hospice and palliative care.
While fundraising, the life-blood of all charities, will be our primary goal, marketing activities will also focus on educating the public about All Our Relations’ concept and activities, as well as building AOR’s "recognition factor" with the general public.
Fundraising will make use of Internet technologies, including our own web-site, e-mail and online access for services and donations. Newsletters, direct mail and special events, including concerts and conferences, all build and develop our base of support. Major donors and bequests will be individually and personally sought after, cultivated and developed.
Partnerships in the community will be sought among businesses and corporations, medical and social work schools, service clubs and other non-profit organizations. As well, partnerships with government agencies such as CCAC, Public Health Nurses, VON and volunteer home-based hospice organizations will continue to create public awareness.
Programming will include classes, on-going groups, workshops, guest speakers, volunteer programs, and special events.
Advertising will include paid advertisements in local newspapers, hospital and related medical venues, phone book and professional association newsletters.
Publicity will include feature articles in print media, as well as interviews on TV and radio. Our unique concept, as well as our own contacts will attract publicity.
